Senior Staff Accountant

The main purpose of the Senior Staff Accountant is to manage financial and accounting activities for Cenduit’s US and Europe legal entities to ensure that proper internal controls are in place, and accounting transactions are accurately accounted for using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). In addition, this position will support banking, internal and external audit and tax of these legal entities.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and manage general accounting functions, primarily the accuracy of general ledger account balances, preparing journal entries

  • Work with payroll manager to maintain proper GL entries and reconciliations related to payroll

  • Support the month-end closing and assist in financial reporting and review

  • Support various treasury activities including setting up bank payments, bank deposits and bank reconciliations

  • Submit (or coordinate the submittal of) timely and accurate tax filings including Sales and Use, VAT, Consumption and Property tax

  • Responsible for end-to-end accounts payable function, from issuing purchase orders to payment to vendors

  • Assist in the internal and external audits and tax provisions/returns

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal. The demonstrated ability to communicate with non-English speaking locations across time zones is a plus.

  • Strong organization and time management skills to be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

  • Accuracy, with an eye for detail

  • Team player & flexible.

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA, MBA or MS/MA (Accounting) a plus.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of prior accounting experience within a corporate environment.

  • International accounting practices experience and/or exposure to foreign currency transactions is a plus.

  • ERP system experience, Great Plains and NetSuite a plus.
