Overview:

The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with R&D and IT to build and deploy our core systems and platform, while helping to automate and streamline our operations and processes. This role is also responsible for building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as resolution of issues in our Development, Test and Production environments.


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with the Development Scrum team members to test system integrity

  • Design and implement build and deployment configuration definitions

  • Test implemented designs

  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning for both on-premise and Microsoft Azure cloud-based environments

  • Handle code deployments in all environments

  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve

  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations

  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery

  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages

  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards

  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects

  • Manage CI and CD tools with team

  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes

  • Improve infrastructure development and application development

  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company

 

Skills: 

  • Experience with Microsoft and Linux infrastructures, Relational DB’s (MS-SQL) CI/CD tools, scripting such as JavaScript, Powershell,  .NET

  • Experience with containerization, leveraging Docker and Kubernetes in a hybrid Azure cloud environment

  • Deploying micro-services

  • Working experience and comfort level with Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, Agile workflow methodologies

  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a development and/or operations role

  • Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
